Nonprofit Computer Service Organization Brings Low-Cost, High Quality Repair and Computers to Alameda
ALAMEDA, Calif.-(Business Wire)-September 29, 2009 - When people in Alameda and Oakland’s waterfront communities need computer service, they have few options. Starting October 7th, they will be able to have their computers fixed by certified technician at the newest ReliaTech store. And those repair jobs will benefit the nonprofit training and jobs-creation programs of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul and the Stride Center.
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Alameda County and ReliaTech, headquartered in San Pablo, today announced the opening of the new computer service center, located in the St. Vincent de Paul retail store at 2315 Lincoln St. in Alameda. ReliaTech will be providing computer repair, and selling Gold Star Certified Renewed Computers.
“This new store will enable us to bring our low-cost, high-quality computer service and certified renewed computers to another Bay Area community,” said ReliaTech CEO Ben Delaney. He continued, “we are extremely pleased to team up with St. Vincent de Paul to offer our services in Alameda and help people bridge the digital divide with service and computers at below-market prices.”
Philip Arca, SVdP’s Executive Director, added, “In this time of extreme economic challenge, it is imperative that community based organizations think creatively on how to work together. We are pleased to explore this relationship with ReliaTech in our Alameda retail location.”
